Outcomes During this lesson: All of you will speak clearly, answer questions and give a straightforward account with some structure. (E) Most of you will use a suitable range of vocabulary, answer question clearly and in detail and give an ordered speech. (D/C) Some of you will respond to question in a well managed way, and use a flexible range of vocabulary and grammatical structures. (B)
Spend five minutes preparing, reread your speech and make any changes that you need to make. Be prepared for questions.
Mark Scheme: E: speak clearly, standard English, opinions expressed, questions answered in some detail, engage readers interest. D: Use different strategies to engage reader, speech is organised, respond to other people’s opinions, use language effectively to convey opinion. C: Fluent, significant contribution, interest is sustained, engage with other’s ideas. Promotes own point of view. B: Confident, fluent and sensitive.
