  2. Outcomes During this lesson: All of you will speak clearly, answer questions and give a straightforward account with some structure. (E) Most of you will use a suitable range of vocabulary, answer question clearly and in detail and give an ordered speech. (D/C) Some of you will respond to question in a well managed way, and use a flexible range of vocabulary and grammatical structures. (B)

  4. Spend five minutes preparing, reread your speech and make any changes that you need to make. Be prepared for questions.

  5. Mark Scheme: E: speak clearly, standard English, opinions expressed, questions answered in some detail, engage readers interest. D: Use different strategies to engage reader, speech is organised, respond to other people’s opinions, use language effectively to convey opinion. C: Fluent, significant contribution, interest is sustained, engage with other’s ideas. Promotes own point of view. B: Confident, fluent and sensitive. Can build on point in questioning, can structure and organise points to achieve an impact on the audience.
