Being a Student Rep Helping to make life at Strathclyde even better
What is a Student Rep? • Gather opinion of class mates on how things are going • Feedback and discuss what’s good and what’s bad about your experience so far • Inform class mates of outcomes of discussions and agreed plans • At least 1 representative for each class or course
What does it involve? • Attend Class Rep Training at USSA – a two hour session giving you all the skills and knowledge to be a great rep. • Attendance at Student-Staff Liaison Committees (usually one a semester) • Regular formal/informal discussions with class mates and staff • Go to Student Congress on October 23rd – free lunch, free goodies, and a chance to talk about education at Strathclyde and make your voice heard. This is where you can be elected as a Faculty Rep and meet the University Principal.
Interested? • What to do: • Volunteer to be a Student Rep! • Your lecturer will register you by e-mailing your full name & module code to ussa.studentreps@strath.ac.uk • The Union will send you details of training via your student e-mail address (example@strath.ac.uk)
