Identified Areas of Work-2013 Geotube program- Process Water Treatment at the Perth WTP SAGR Pilot Project- Perth Sewage Lagoon Infiltration & Sanitary Sewer lining program Recycling, Organics, and Waste Management programs Wilson Street Beautification- Tree Planting Project Tay River Naturalization- Perth Water Treatment Plant

Geotube Program- Perth WTP • Treat the water returned to the Tay River from the WTP • Project cost $825,000 • Project RFP responded by Bishop Environmental • Initial construction to commence May 2013 • Goal- Treat 100% of process water prior to returning to the Tay Photo here Geotube Installation- Eganville

  4. SAGR Pilot Project- Perth Sewage Lagoon • Pilot project for sewage treatment demonstrating innovative Canadian technology- Strong results to date • $350K cost with $175K contribution from FCM • Goal: Municipal commencing EA in 2013 to increase sewage treatment capacity photo

  5. 2012 Sanitary Sewer Re-lining Projects • Identified by 2012 Flow Study- high infiltration rates in areas • Renovated 39Manholes in 2011/12 • Relined 1010metres of sanitary sewers in 2011/12/13 at cost of $244K • Re-lining Sanitary Sewers under street to regain capacity for development Manhole Infiltration Sewer Main Infiltration

  6. Recycling, Organics, and Waste Management programs Active Organics, Recycling (Yellow and Blue Box), and Waste Collection Program Five-year contract with collection contractor Strong results with a progressive program for a small community

  7. Wilson Street Beautification- Tree Planting Project • 50% partnership- $12K contribution from Perth Rotary Club • 15% trees planted in 2012 • 40% trees to be planted in 2013 • Preparation for the 200th anniversary of Perth

  8. Tay River Naturalization- Perth Water Treatment Plant • Project identified with RVCA, UCDSB, Town of Perth • Naturalization along Tay River at Stewart School and Perth WTP • Commence May 2013 with RVCA planting program along 10m buffer area
