  3. The UK Population is expected to increase significantly over the next 10-15 years. The number of people aged over 65 will increase by almost a third by 2020. Changing Communities

  11. Next Steps.. Improve the system of self-directed support Have 30% of eligible people using a personal budget by April 2011 (about 5200 people) Work on the other key areas to prevent, reduce or delay access to social care – eg. Modernisation of in house home care / establishing reablement services
