1. Description of NTNU, ITK
  • Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU)
    • One of the largest technical universities in Scandinavia
    • 20.000 students; 1100BSc, 2200MSc and 260 PhD each year; annual budget 700MEuro
  • Department of Engineering Cybernetics (ITK)
    • 9 professors, 8 associate/assistant professors, 8 adjunct professors, 40 PhD students
    • 90 students get MSc degree in Cybernetics each year
    • External research funding 2M.Euro per year
    • Close cooperation with Norwegian and international industries (StatoilHydro, ABB, Siemens, SINTEF, Kongsberg…)
