The Portal and Naviance • Naviance • Students will learn out to login during advisory • Use for career plan and college planning • Student/Parent Portal • Use to check your grades, credits, and schedule • Login with your student ID number • Password: first initials and birthday • Example: vd093082

  4. Student Activities • Clubs • Athletics • Volunteer Work • Job Experience • Build your resume for college & career • Plan ahead for NHS

  5. Schedules • Block Schedules • Advisories/Career Plan • Credits for Graduation • Regular Diploma • Scholar’s Diploma

  6. Love the courses you’re in . . . Critical Course Change Policy Course Withdrawal If the course change happens after the first 3-5 days of a course, it becomes a withdrawal This is noted on your transcript with a: W+ (if passing) W- (if failing) • Changes in course requests will only be honored for the following two reasons: 1: Failure to meet the required prerequisite/ misplacement in course OR 2: Level change that has been verified by the teacher

  7. PSATs & Standardized Testing • PSATs – October 19th (8am-11:30am) • Tests Reading, Math, and Writing • Score reports are distributed in advisory in December • SATs and ACTs are taken in spring of your junior year and fall of your senior year • Take no more than 3 times each
