  4. God Provides for His People • We were in need of a Savior, a bread that we eat and live forever (John 6:51) • Romans 3:23-26 • 23 – “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” • 25 – “God sent forth as a propitiation by His blood”

God Provides for His People • God has richly blessed us spiritually and these blessings are in Christ • Ephesians 1:3 – “blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ” • God has even prepared a home in heaven for us and the way is in Christ • John 14:1-6 – “In My Father’s house are many mansions”

  7. Daily Reliance upon God • Christ brought the Word of God & we need to partake of it daily • Hebrews 1:1-2 –“spoken to us by His Son” • Matthew 4:4 – “live… by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” • Matthew 5:6 – “hunger and thirst for righteousness”

  8. Daily Reliance upon God • Christ set the perfect example for us & we need to follow daily • I Peter 2:21 – “leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps” • Luke 9:23 – “take us his cross daily, and follow Me”

  9. Daily Reliance upon God • Christ has been given all authority & we need to put trust in Him • Matthew 28:18 – “all authority has been given to Me” • Colossians 3:17 – “do all in the name of the Lord Jesus”

Obedience is Required • Christ is the Author of Eternal Salvation • Hebrews 5:8-9 – “author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him” • Christ is waiting to give us a Crown • II Timothy 4:7-8 – “there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness” • Christ will be our Judge & Obedience to God’s Will is Required for Entrance • Matthew 7:21 – “he who does the will of My Father in heaven”
