  23. The Year 1973 in Beta Gamma • Miss Marjorie Montgomery of Beta Gamma was among those memorialized at the 1973 state meeting at the DeSoto Hilton in Savannah. • "Culture in Changing Times – Youth and Drugs" was the topic for the program at the March 10 meeting in Greenville.

The Year 1973 in Beta Gamma • The April 28 meeting was held at Hamilton Hall Restaurant in Hamilton. • At the Keefer Room of the Pine Mountain Regional Library in Manchester on December 1, new members were inducted – Melba Belcher, Hazel Clark, Barbara Corley, Willie Fish, Carolyn Kilby and Evelyn Sheets.

  27. The Year 1963 in Beta Gamma … • Miss Eva Gardner met with members of Beta Gamma for a program planning meeting. • Ophelia Alsobrook was installed as the first chapter president, serving until 1966.

  28. The Year 1963 in Beta Gamma … • Other officers were Regina Pinkston, first vice-president; Bess Underwood, second vice-president; Elva Thompson, recording secretary; Myrtle Lawhon, corresponding secretary; Mary Mitcham, treasurer; and Josephine Jarrell, parliamentarian.
