Purpose To bring together regional healthcare resources, health providers, emergency medical resources, ancillary resources and first response partners to develop the North Carolina Regional ESF 8 Response and Recovery Plan
Objectives • To develop a plan that provides state-wide consistency & regional flexibility. • To create a plan that fully supports the mission of each region’s medical disaster response & recovery resources. • To create an atmosphere of close communication, cooperation & collaboration between state & regional stakeholders.
What the Plans are: • Organizational plan, not an operational plan • A living document • Compilation of current practices
Methods: • Eight regional teams composed of a SME for Planning and Medical. • Regional data is being via face to face site visits & virtual. • Information is being collected from both the SMARTT system & the OEMS GIS system.
