  3. Week 7 Seminar Material • Discussed social and business leaders • Discuss ways leaders can implement and lead change in their organizations. • Many states are currently going through severe budget crises. As a result, many states have had to scale back services and restructure their agencies.

  4. Scenario 1 • Sandy works in a state agency that has just been merged with another agency in order increase efficiency. Her team of 15 people will be reduced by 3 and will have to move to another state office building. She knows that the layoffs will be hard on everyone, and is personally upset about the change. • Sandy's career depends on successfully implementing the change. • What are some strategies she should consider? • How should she approach her team? • What are some key actions she should take?

Scenario 2 • You are the Co-Founder of a Non-profit Organization and your partner (the other Co-Founder) recently announced they no longer want to be affiliated with the organization. • How would you go about establishing a new board? • What methods would you utilize to ensure that the people being served by the non profit continue?
