SD Plan Priority: CAPACITY Staff suggestions made at annual staff meeting : • Make all handouts available on Moodle • Consider emailing/texting instead of posting • Supply handouts on students USB keys • Put prospectus online and do not send to existing students • Try to get students and tutors to access e-books • Reduce printing by putting all course packs online Key action for supporting behaviour change across the organisation:

SD Plan Priority: Buildings & Estates • Key action for reducing the impact of our campus and building projects: • undertake an audit of the existing consumption and management of energy and waste • make sure that all procurement practices reflect social and environmental as well as economic costs

Server replacement programme • New servers installed • Consultation with Winchester University on server replacement programme 16th May 2011 • New electric meter installed so energy usage can be measured monthly. Measurements started March 2011 • New energy efficient computers purchased
Shutdownertron software designed to save power overnight by minimising workstation left running • New energy efficient computers purchased • Switched to remanufactured toners & saved money!

SD Plan Priority: Community Participation • Key action for building on the links and partnerships with the communities within which we work • support local markets, ethical and fairtrade, and socially responsible initiatives within the community
Donated to Computer Aid so far: • 134 desktop PCs • 6 laptops • 63 flat screen monitors (and 1 CRT monitor) Working in the Community 10 Athlon x2 dual Core 4200+ PCs will be donated to LifeLine to replace their Dell OptiPlex 2010L
