  7. Q6. Please rank in order which local issues are most important to you?.

  8. Q7. What would you like The ARA to do more of? (tick all that apply)

  9. Q8. Would you like to get more involved in The ARA (even in an ad-hoc way)?

  10. Q9. How would you like to get involved in The ARA? I work in tech I’d be happy to assist in some way either with the website or possibly the newsletter. A more active Facebook could be quite good. Also is there a neighbourhood watch initiative? I work full time so involvement is difficult but I'm happy to get involved with events at weekends - i.e. street cleaning I'd be happy to join any clean-up or similar activities Would take part in street clean up (already collect litter anyway. Street meetings / monthly discussions I will be willing to help at events that benefit the local community on an ad-hoc basis. Street clean up Not too sure. Ad hoc support in organising and supporting community activities Local initiatives Not sure - would be happy to help out with events if needed/practicable Evening meetings could be a little later - I'm not usually able to get to the 7.30 meetings. Help with one-off events. So if there was a street clean up event I could volunteer to hep with the planning & action but not have an open-ended commitment to all events. Perhaps more people could commit to one-offs that matter to them. Anything that doesn't require too much organisation. Street clean ups

  11. Help delivering newsletters or getting involved in Street clean ups etc Attending or helping out at events Unfortunately, at present family commitments restrict my time. I do, however, enjoy taking part in social activities organised by the ARA when my time permits. Happy to input ad hoc in any way, would just need to know where input is needed Not sure I work full time so time is limited but would be interested in a local clean up with other residents. We lived in Raynes Park 10 years ago and since returning, my main issue/gripe is rubbish bags strewn all over the main road. Be asked for my views on local issiues Attend more meetings / put forward more suggestions for improving the area support new parents, organising networking or events Help delivering newsletters or getting involved in Street clean ups etc Social/support of ARA Campaigning Only on a volunteering basis, eg a street cleaning initiative or similar Happy to support if it fits around my job. Assisting with ad hoc events I think the ARA could represent the community at the council with issues we have. Happy to help with that. Have more input in ideas

  12. Additional comments It would be lovely if we could have once a year a street gathering for example for Queen’s birthday. Maybe BBQ or just street picnic would be fantastic.  planning issues for one very sad that the area of mainly Edwardian workers cottages  is being undermined by massive development like 6 story disasters on Kingston road Double yellow line is needed at the start of Vernon Avenue, on both sides.  Noisy airplanes (which seem to be a major issue at the moment). Residents parking charges especially the council trying to link residents parking to their pollution targets this is completely illogical.

  13. Q10. What do you think of the voluntary subscription of £2 or £4 that pays for newsletters and meetings etc?

  14. Conclusions • Sunday is the optimum time to send out information as Sunday evening is when we received the majority of responses • Residents believe the ARA is beneficial to the local community and appreciate the work it does • There is an opportunity to increase contact with residents as it would be appreciated by a great deal of people • We need to increase engagement via social and digital channels – eg drive more people to the website for information (we should also use Survey Monkey as a tool to maintain contact and gain opinions) • The cleanliness of the streets is a key issue for the majority of people – a street clean-up would be well supported! • People are keen to show their support / get involved in ad-hoc events – we need to find ways to channel their energy and enthusiasm • Consider Neighbourhood Watch as an additional opportunity
