In this course we will cover the following topics: • Information about base engine systems • Information about electronic ignition systems • Information about starting systems • Information about charging systems • Information about fuel systems • Information about computerized control systems

  4. As a result of this course you will be able to: • Interpret the readings of an engine vacuum gauge • Effectively use a VAT to diagnose batteries, starting and charging systems • Identify the types of fuel system used on various vehicles • Describe in writing the process of closed loop computer control

  5. As a result of this course you will be able to: • Evaluate readings from engine compression testing • Perform volt drop testing across battery cables and charging cables • Demonstrate proper and safe use of hand tools • Interpret the readings from computer scan tools

  6. As a result of this course you will be able to: • Adjust basic settings on the lab scope

  7. But above all…. You will learn to think!
