Today’s Agenda • Go over homework & what to expect on the midterm—it’s in one week. • Quiz • Interpret the image of Elizabeth on our book cover and also in the film clip of Elizabeth • Queen Elizabeth I: “The doubt of future foes” (758) • Sir Walter Ralegh: “The discovery . . . of El Dorado” (1030-1033) • Today’s presentations: • Evalyn Maldonado: Spenser’s biography • Monica Aguilera: Sidney’s biography • As time allows, begin discussion of Sidney (begin with PowerPoint)

  2. Homework • Catch up on reading if necessary • Catch up on reading responses if necessary (six due in a week) • Next class there is no quiz and no presentations. • There will be time to catch up with Sidney and time to answer any questions about the midterm.
