  12. What others say about nufp • NUFP Mentors are key in the NUFP experience “I think NUFP definitely did have a very active role in my decision making process but I give credit to my Mentor as well. It was her enthusiasm and her vision to see all my potential of what I could possibly do in student affairs that really helped to push me along.” • The NUFP Summer Internship “I went to my internship at [X University] and I just fell in love with the profession and because I was exposed to the profession first-hand and got the opportunity to work in, like, every department and like really spread myself out and really got to see what student affairs was on a first-hand basis, I made the decision that yes, this is what I wanted to do.”

  13. What others say about nufp • The overall NUFP experience “For me it was being able to finally have a purpose in life and find a direction that I actually was happy with. Before, I was just thinking of what I thought was the best thing for me, but actually experiencing the conference, experiencing my interaction with all these people [at the SLI] and I knew this is where I belong. The NUFP program sort of gave me that avenue to be able to explore this so called ‘natural ability’ that I had for helping students and being concerned about students. So I think in that aspect the NUFP program was a positive influence.”
