  4. Sandy Soil and Water • When sandy soil is mixed with water, it does not soak up a lot of the water. • Most of the water will float to the top and the sand to the bottom.

  5. Sandy Soil vs. Clay Soil • Sandy Soil is white and Clay Soil is redish brown. • Sandy Soil has different particles that you can see and Clay Soil has particles stuck together. • Sandy Soil you can separate and Clay Soil you cannot. • Sandy Soil feels soft and Clay Soil is sticky.
