MISSION & TARGET GROUPS Fepamuc is a non profit organisation that includes several associations of women in the province of Guadalajara. It is part of a national network of “Mujeres Progresistas” placed in Madrid. FEPAMUC provides support to women in risk of social exclusion: living in rural remote areas, with insufficient formal education or immigrants without the necessary skills to face the demands of their new country. On the present time of economic crises we address also to the unemployed whose curricula and skills have to be implemented to adjust to the labour market.
THE DEVELOPMENT • Founded in 1989 as an association of women to work for equality. It was named “Asoc.International Mujeres” • In 1995 the federation of associations of women is founded to extend its activities to reach the rest of the provinces of the region of Castilla La Mancha: FEPAMUC CLM • In 2005 we founded with other six associations from different villages our provincial organization FEPAMUC GU. Since then we are receiving financial support of the European Union, working with transnational partnerships for the improvement of individual and organizational competences. We receive also funds from The Women´s Institut of Castilla la Mancha.
THE ACTIVITIES • Personal couching for women • Lifelong education for adults: tic´s and languages • Courses in Spanish for inmigrants • Courses in English as a second languaje • Courses on stress management, communication, motivation and creativity • Human Resources • Voluntary social work with groups in need.
EU PROJECTS • Socrates-Grundtvig 2 “Adult Learners’ Forum”, 2005-2008, coordinated by Andras (Estonia). Topic: learning forum as instrument for the education of adults.
