  2. During the journey, they started arguing and one friend slapped the other. The latter, very sad, but without saying a word, wrote on the sand: In qualche momento del viaggio cominciarono a discutere, ed un amico diede uno schiaffo all'altro, questi addolorato, ma senza dire nulla, scrisse nella sabbia:

  3. TODAY MY BEST FRIEND HAS SLAPPED ME.

  4. They continued walking until they reached an oasis, where they decided to take a swim. The friend who had been slapped almost drowned, but his friend rescued him. After he recovered, he engraved on a stone: Continuarono a camminare, finché trovarono un'oasi, dove decisero di fare un bagno. L'amico che era stato schiaffeggiato rischiò di affogare, ma il suo amico lo salvò. Dopo che si fu ripreso, scrisse su una pietra:

Ma quando qualcuno fa qualcosa di buono per noi, dobbiamo inciderlo nella pietra, dove nessun vento possa cancellarlo.

L'altro amico rispose: quando qualcuno ci ferisce dobbiamo scriverlo nella sabbia, dove i venti del perdono possano cancellarlo.Ma quando qualcuno fa qualcosa di buono per noi, dobbiamo inciderlo nella pietra, dove nessun vento possa cancellarlo. • The other friend answered: • When someone hurts us, we must write it on the sand, where the wind of forgiveness will cancel it. • But when someone does something good, we must engrave it on a stone, where no wind can cancel it.
