IMPLEMENTATION STRATEGIESCRIMES AGAINST WOMEN AND CHILDREN STRATEGY • Anti-rape strategy (reduce rape and improve the investigation) • Domestic Violence Act, 1998 (Act No 116 of 1998) • Victim Empowerment Programme (Community-based victim support, victim-friendly facilities) • Youth Crime Prevention Capacity Building Programme (Child Justice Bill, Safe Schools, Homeless Children, Adopt-a-Cop Programme, etc) • Prevention of Violence Programme (Moral Regeneration, Sexual Offences Bill, Child Labour Action Programme Steering Committee, Victim Empowerment Policy, Victim Charter) • Reactive Measures (victim assistance by investigating official) • Rights of women who are victims of crime (Conversations with Woman Initiative eg16 Days of Activism)
