  1. Indian classical dance At Nrityangana, we nurture the soul of Indian tradition using the timeless art of classical dance. We are a platform for enthusiastic movers and makers who are keen to study the cultural legacy of India that was built through disciplined practice, storytelling, and expression. With the guidance of knowledgeable educators, we develop our students in a creative but structured manner, encouraging students to work on their skills, grasp the technical elements of rhythm and expression, and communicate the holy and sacred in performance. At Nrityangana, we cater to dancers who are new to dance and are at an advanced level, allowing for individual attention so that each student may learn with poise and confidence. Indian classical dance is more than an art form. It is a movement that is part of centuries of spiritual, philosophical, and cultural history. Indian classical dances take their purpose and function from the ancient text on performing arts, the Natya Shastra, and range from Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathak, Odissi, Manipuri, Kathakali, to Mohiniyattam, all of which are infused with stories and/or symbolic elements accompanied by rhythm and tempo, which are referred to as tala (rhythm), raga

  2. (melody), and abhinaya (expression) in varying degrees. Indian classical dance is not simply a dance form, it is a spirit of dance, typically using mythological stories or devotional themes of some sort conveyed through precise and employed movements. For more details visit : Contact Us
