  1. Interesting Facts about Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar is popularly known as God of Cricket in India by his followers. He is a modest and humble man and once said that he is not the God of cricket, he makes mistakes but god doesn't. He is regarded as one of the greatest batsmen of all time. At his very young age of 11, he started playing cricket and at the age of 16, he made his Test debut against Pakistan in Karachi. He batted wearing the pads gifted to him by Sunil Gavaskar. At the age of 19, he became the youngest Indian to play county cricket. Some interesting facts about Sachin Tendulkar are, he is India's first active cricketer to be nominated to the Rajya Sabha. In 1988, at the Brabourne Stadium, Sachin fielded for Pakistan as a substitute during a one-day practice match against India.

The bat which Sachin Tendulkar uses at the crease is very heavy weighing 3.2lbs. Only South African Player Lance Klusener used a heavier bat in world cricket. Sachin Tendulkar is the only Indian cricketer who has received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, Arjuna Award and Padma Shri by the Indian government.
