Creating a 3D Model of Tri County Tech Bison Using Agisoft Photoscan

Andrew Veit is utilizing Agisoft Photoscan to create a detailed 3D model of the Tri County Tech Bison for their website. After extensive tutorials and practice with small-scale objects, he began working with the actual bison. Despite facing challenges such as lighting issues and software processing speed, Andrew is committed to troubleshooting and finishing the project. Future plans include completing the bison model, uploading it to the TCTC website, creating a tutorial on software use, and photographing all bison in Bartlesville for the Chamber of Commerce.

  2. Software: AgisoftPhotoscan

  3. Description of Project Make a 3D model of the Tri County Tech Bison for the TCTC website using AgisoftPhotoscan, Photoshop and PowerPoint.

  4. Process Andrew (for hours on end) watched tutorials and played with the software until he figured out AgisoftPhotoscan. Then he had to take pictures of a small scale object to test the software. After the small scale was successful Andrew went on to take pictures of the bison. Once the pictures where taken and put into software a whole bunch of problems accrued including lighting and processing speed of the computer. The project is currently unfinished but Andrew intends to troubleshoot the issues and get the bison completed.

  5. As part of his attempts to learn the software, Andrew worked with this 3D model as well.

  6. This is an example of the error message Andrew kept getting while working with the practice object. Andrew was able to eventually solve this issue.

  7. Future of the Project • Continue to troubleshoot and fix the issues • Complete the bison and upload it to the TCTC website • Make a tutorial on how to use the software • Take pictures of all the bison in Bartlesville and provide the 3D images to the Chamber of Commerce
