  7. Sophie & Olaf • Married in Virquo, Wisconsin • 9 Children , raised in South Dakota • Elmer, Gerda, Olav, Inga, Nettie, Tony, Anna, Carl and Herold

  9. Carl • The 8th child • Born on April 17th , 1905 • Married Mable Engebritson • Had 3 Children, Rodney, Norman and Roger

  10. Rodney (my grandfather) • Born November 17, 1929 in Webster • He was a product of the dirty thirties , he said “ It was hard just for my parents to get by” • 4/10 / way of life • Trucking business for 25 years

  11. Rodney & Sports • Bearcat 1945-1948 • QB 7-2 Senior year • 1 of 2 men in SD to ever make it to 4 state tournaments in a row, ( started pg on all teams) • 78-8 • Shrined in the Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame • 31 strikeouts in 1 game (14 innings)

Rod & Corinne • Corinne graduated 1950 (Rod in ‘48) • Worked for her father at the SuperMarket • Rod headed to Alaska to be shipped out to Korea, but didn’t get deployed. • Married 1948 • Moved to Sioux Falls • 4 Children, Ronny (1955), Billy(1959), Kelly (1963) and Kari (1965) – all went to WHS

  14. Kari • Kari is the youngest of Rodney's and Corinne's and the only girl • Sioux Falls • 4 Children • “Credits her 3 brothers pushing her around for her athleticism” • All State PG Jr. and Sen. 46-0 • 1st volleyball team • Full Ride at Augie for 3 sports

  15. The Boys • Ronny • WHS was into Baseball and Basketball • Has two kids • Billy • WHS • Basketball • Baseball • Kelly • WHS Football and Basketball

  16. Bill & Lynn • SDSU • Both got Bachelors Degree • Moved to Lemmon • Hailey • Me
