Certification summary • Started in July (2009) • Report: https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/Main/ArgusCertification • Patch #3076: https://savannah.cern.ch/patch/?3076 • Current status: With Provider, due to bug #56687 (and load tests issues?) • Excellent documentation helped certification. • Functional tests ok, including failure scenarios and error logging. • Few bugs (configuration, banning by CA) fixed during certification. • Interaction glexec-lcmaps-pepd (pdp and pap) succesfully tested (Patch #3093 in certification) WLCG Grid Deployment Board, 14 October 2009 2

Load tests • Setup • 10 WNs installed on virtual machines • Argus (PAP,PDP,PEPd cache disabled) on a vm 1GB memory • pepcli used to send authorization requests (bash scripts and The Grinder) • 10 test user certificates (2 where banned in the policy) • Outcomes • Server stability ok, never needed a restart. • With requests rates < 20 reqs/sec, no errors in 4 days (6.4M requests). • With requests rates > 20 reqs/sec, 0.04% error frequency, Bug #56750, expected Permit got Deny • With requests rates > 90 reqs/sec, in 2 experiments hit Bug #56758, expected Deny got Permit (3 times out of 7.5M requests).
