  2. About this session: Outreach is an important part of our call as Christians and each person can have a special role in it. This workshop will explore spiritual gifts and different outreach methods. Bring your personal experiences and an open mind as we discuss ministering to others in our daily life. 

  3. I say Spiritual Gifts?You say?

The BIBLE says “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills” (1 Cor7-11).

  7. How Do I Discover My Spiritual Gifts? • Explore the possibilities • Experiment with as many gifts as possible • Examine your feelings • Evaluate your effectiveness

  8. Categories of Gifts • According to the nature of the gifts • According to their sphere of influence • According to their function All do not receive the same gifts, but to every servant of the master, some gift of the spirit is promised. (Christ’s Object Lessons, p. 327).

  14. What is your spiritual gift? • Use play dough to try to make us guess what your gift is. • If you don’t know or are not sure, make something that you are good at or enjoy doing

Types of Outreach • Sequence Evangelism • uses physical and mental health seminars in conjunction with pre-evangelism and full message seminars • Five-Point Action Plan • combines careful planning by a local church evangelism committee with territorial assignment, Sabbath School Action Units, and apprenticeship training module, and continuing education for soul winning • Personal Soul winning Network System • trains people how to establish personal networks for people they want to win • Annual Outreach Program • there are 8 steps in this cycle • Small Group Cycle Strategies • many different topics are possible and the time frame is usually 10-13 weeks • Territorial Assignment Strategy • decide on a territory and then begin sharing the message • Target Group Evangelism • apply targeted strategies (demographic studies, decide on targets) • Saturation Evangelism • focuses on a geographical area or a target group, it inundates the target with information
