how to create a storyboard
How to Create a Storyboard
  • Divide the site into its logical parts
  • Divide the story into media parts: video, text, graphic, audio
    • Video for motion
    • Photos for emotion, mood, keeping an important point
    • Animated graphics show how things work. Still graphics go where the camera cannot (inside earth, engine, etc.)
    • Text is good for history, first person accounts, and take up where graphics, photos, video, and audio leave off.
    • Audio can enhance video and photos
  • Medium should be complimentary not redundant
  • Determine interactivity
  • Reassemble the content into a storyboard

A rough storyboard doesn't have to be high art - it's just a sketch. And it isn't written in stone - it's just a guide. You may very well change things after you begin work on the site.
