  4. Forms to Complete First day of school: • Everything else on the left side of your folders! (1 to 1) • Remember to return the folders!   7. Grading 93 – 100% = A 85 – 92% = B 77 – 84% = C 70 – 76% = D 0 – 69% = F ** Parents and students can check grades online using the Home Base Parent Portal **

  10. Other Homework Math: • Practice the skills nightly • Math notebooks go home nightly • ALL WORK MUST BE SHOWN • Must know their multiplication/division facts Spelling: • Assignments completed in class as morning work • Weekly spelling test on Fridays!

  11. Other Homework Science / Social Studies: • Occasionally, if classwork is not completed • Projects periodically – rubric • Study guides Missing Assignments • Noted in the weekly report • Clip down • Late work – 10 pt deduction each day • After 3 days, after-school detention will be assigned

Accelerated Reader • Each grading period, students will set an AR goal to work towards with their independent reading.  • Can monitor at school and at home • Book for a grade every 2 weeks – highest • Students who meet their goal will receive recognition at the end of grading period. • You may view which books are AR at http://www.arbookfind.com

  15. First Day of School! • FULL DAY this year!!! • Don’t forget to bring: • School Supplies – we will set EVERYTHING up together! • All the forms (completed) on the left side of your folder • Homework folder • $4 for your planner • Make sure you know your lunch number!

Laptop One-to-One • One – to – one initiative • Responsible for care and upkeep • If intentionally broken or irreparable - 75% of fair market value (about $400) • Pieces broken or cracked screen - $75 • Keyboard broken / missing keys - $40 • Battery damage - $100 • Cosmetic Damage - $25 or entire price • Acceptable Use • Filters • Consequences

Tools to Succeed! • 1/2 inch binder for a data notebook • 2 inch hard binder with clear plastic cover • 5 packs of college ruled loose leaf paper • 2 packs of write-on tab dividers • 1 pencil pouch (hole punched) • 4 glue sticks • 1 pack of Expo markers • 1 pack of highlighters • 2 packs of number 2 pencils • 1 pack of colored pens (any color) • 1 package of sticky notes • 3 spiral bound (or composition) notebooks - one red, one green, one blue • 2 hole punched folders • Ear Buds (NOT headphones) • 1 pair of scissors • Helena Elementary Planner (Required - buy from me - $4.00) • * Hard pencil box (for technology box) • * 2 additional folders of your choice - any color/style • * 1 notebook or journal of your choice – any color/style
