  2. En 2010 aumentó la población que se encuentra en pobreza con respecto a 2008 (de 44.5% a 46.2%). Esto se debe al aumento de la pobreza moderada (de 33.7% a 35.8%).

  3. En el análisis por tipo de carencia social destaca que disminuyó la incidencia de población con carencias sociales en 5 de las 6 carencias consideradas en la metodología.

  4. Aumento en el porcentaje de población que tiene un ingreso inferior a la línea de bienestar mínimo y de bienestar, con respecto a 2008

  5. Disminución del ingreso corriente promedio por hogar a $34,936 por trimestre, lo que representa una variación de -12.3% con respecto a 2008.

  6. El gasto también observó contracciones importantes.

En 2010 disminuyó en 2.6 puntos porcentuales el porcentaje de población que tiene una carencia social y en 4.5 puntos porcentuales la población que tiene al menos tres carencias sociales con respecto a 2008.   12. Cabe destacar la importancia de las transferencias monetarias en evitar el desplome aún mayor del ingreso. La caída de las remesas de 17.4% fue en parte compensada por un incremento de las transferencias por programas gubernamentales de 9.6%.
