  2. Library Goals and Initiatives Maintain and preserve the physical archives (2-D and 3-D objects). Provide current popular culture materials for writers, artists and editors. Provide weekly accounts of recent movie releases, news articles which have been identified as of interest and relevant to the various departments. Provide quarterly “How to” …manage your data, set up an emerging social networks within the company, operate the latest video game workshops. Digitize, upload and document the magazine collection onto the existing website. Finding and funding a larger physical space.

Recent Projects & Proposals Touchstone base for the marketing department to be able to connect with the legal department ,to be able to connect with the editorial department, promoting Ray Riola’s “the Joy of Censorship” tour this past year Focusing & identifying new subscriber bases within national universities and providing demographics for the Marketing Dept. Reaching out to the librarians of these universities with special promotional subscription rates. Researching university sites for Mr. Riola to lecture on the topic of censorship. Record, uploading and provide streaming video of presentations and lectures on the MAD web page Organizing the promotional materials recently donated by William Gaines’ family to the archives.

  4. Key Challenges for the Library. Rare promotional materials missing. Circulation records from 1952-1962 are missing. Identifying materials that will be of value to the staff and continuing to provide that information. Staffing needed to track down leads relating to any part of the “early years” circulation records, missing promotional materials. Contacting alumni staffers (past marketing, art and production departments) as well as past fans/collectors who may be interested in contributing their collections through a donor/endowment program. Finding and funding a larger physical space.
