  2. Any number, except 0, with an exponent of 0 is equal to 1. For example: 3650 = 1 A negative base with an even exponent is positive. For example: (-2)4 = 16 A negative base with an odd exponent is negative. For example: (-3)3 = -27

  3. Rules of Exponents Multiplication When the bases are the same, you add the exponents when your multiplying the numbers with exponents. For example: 32 35 37 Division When the bases are the same and you are dividing numbers with exponents, you subtract the exponents. For example:
