  1. Cubism By: Sarah Jayyousi

  2. What is Cubism? When did it start? • an artistic movement in France beginning in 1907 that featured surfaces of geometrical planes. • Cubism started in Paris, France in the early 20th Century.

  3. Name of the artist who used cubism and where he is from? • Pablo Picasso was born Malaga, Spain and he moved to Paris in 1990 where he stayed there a long time. He was the founder of the abstract movement in 20th-century art.

  4. What or who inspired the artist to work in this style? • Pablo Picasso was inspired by Paul Cezanne's The Great Bathers (1898-1906) of the Post-Impressionist era, which featured geometric structuring and glimpses of bare canvas to remind the audience that they are only looking at a canvas with paint, not a window into a realistic view. What I think of this style of art • I think it is nice because it is like a puzzle you cant really see the what the picture is because it is like a puzzle.

  5. How is this style of art different than the still life art works? • It is different because still life it is like it is real but cubism is all together the pieces are hard to be shown and it’s just like a puzzle.
