  2. Charity • I decided to give $100,000 (10%) to World Vision. World Vision is a group that gives money and supplies to people in need. My balance is now $900,000.

  3. Taxes • I must now pay $200,000 (20%) for taxes. I now have $700,000

  4. My College University of Georgia Cost over one year Fees = $1,460 Room and board = $8,046 In state tuition = $6,070 Misc. (Entertainment) = $1,800 Books and supplies = $334 Over 4 years, the total cost of my college is $70,840 I now have $629,160.

  5. House I chose to buy the house at 6743 Man O War Lane in Mason, Ohio. Mason is a beautiful, growing town with lots to do and lots of restaurants. This house cost $319,000 and has 4 bedrooms and 4 baths. I like it because it is nice inside and also has some character. My balance is now $310,160.

  6. Furniture I furnished my house with all of the styles I love. Overall it cost me $9,415. I now have $300,745.

  7. Utilities/Bills Electric = $2400 Natural Gas = $720 Cable TV = $960 Phone/Internet = $2400 Water/Sewer = $900 Medical = $1400 Lawn Care = $238 Food = $3000 Clothes = $1200 Gasoline = $1,500 The total cost for my utilities and bills for a year is $14,718. My balance is now $286,027.

  8. Vehicle I chose to by a 2012 Eclipse Spyder GS Sport Sportronic® Transmission, because it looks really cool. It costs $29,972. My new balance is $256,055.

  9. Entertainment Xbox 360 = $200 Xbox Live Membership = $50 Diamond Baseballs = $26 5150 Baseball Bat = $200 Rawlings Baseball Glove = $73 Soft Toss Net = $190 Soft Toss Machine = $575 Zigtechs = $100 Pug = $400 iMac Computer = $1,098 iPhone 4 = $1,040 The total cost for my entertainment is $3,752. I chose these items, because I’ve always wanted some of these things, and the other things I already have. My balance is now $252,303.

  10. Gift to Teacher I chose to buy Ms. Grimes 2 iPad Carts with 40 iPads for her class. I know she thought the middle school that got all those Nook Colors was lucky, but now she’s the lucky one. This cost me $22,400. I now have $229,903.

  11. Gifts for Family Members • I bought my brother 50 cases of Trident Layers Green Apple gum for $850, because he loves chewing this. He also got a Jeep Liberty for $23,255. • I bought my dad a Mazda RX-8 for $26,795, because he likes this car. • I bought my sister an American Girl doll set called Kanani’s Starter Collection for $179, because she loves American Girl Dolls. • And last but not least, I bought my mom 4 velvet rose bouquets, because she loves flowers. They cost $112 . She also got a ZR1 Corvette for $108,000. • Overall the gifts cost me $159,191. My balance is now $70,712.

  12. Vacation 1 For my vacation, I went on a world cruise that stopped at Sydney, Australia. I went on this cruise because I’ve heard Sydney is really cool. This cost me $50,905. I now have $19,807.

  13. Vacation 2 For second vacation, I took my family and went to Africa for 10 days and then to Europe for 17 days. I did this because I’ve always wanted to go on a safari, and I’ve always wanted to see the Eifel Tower. This cost me $19,807. I now have $0.

  14. Conclusion Completing this project, I learned that a million dollars is a lot of money. If you spend it greedily, you lose a bunch of money. But if you spend it carefully, you can accomplish much.
