AOE Bylaw Change Proposal The goals of the bylaws revision include the following: • Eliminate categories of faculty membership by titling all members as “member” and doing away with the use of the terms AOE Fellow, Senior Associate Fellow, and Associate Fellow • Add a category for graduate medical learners (residents, fellows, post docs, and chief residents) to invite their participation in AOE

  6. AOE Bylaws Change • Comments received • Update language in 2e to avoid “desired rank” • Specify “If a department chair desires AOE nomination he or she can be nominated by a faculty member in their department.”

  7. Membership Selection and Renewal • Heather Walker will lead the membership committee • Call for chair nominations will go out later this week • Applicant packets due by March 18 to allow for selection shortly thereafter and welcome at the banquet

  8. Awards • Peadar Noone will lead the awards committee • Meeting soon to establish process • AOE Awards and Medical Alumni Distinguished Teaching Professorship
