Outcomes/Purpose • Develop collaborative leadership skills • Utilize the department “plan on a page” to drive improvements • Create SMART goals for the department • Track progress toward department SMART goals through quality tools and data displays • Develop an implementation plan to accomplish department goals • Use continuous improvement processes and tools (PDSA/LEAN)

  8. Updating the 2008-09 Plan on a Page Considerations • Review mission and goals (modify as needed) • Add SMART goals to plan on a page (if appropriate) • Have updated copies ready for distribution in the fall • In the fall, how will your plan on a page drive improvements in your department?

  9. DLT Self Assessment Individually • First review the entire document • Independently mark your responses As a Team • Round robin report by item • Come to consensus on the score for each item • Discuss key areas for improvement next year

  10. 2008-09 DLT Goals • Aligning work to the Department Plan on a Page • SMART goals for each work group for each goal on the Plan on a Page (1:1) • Updated data displays tracking progress for all SMART goals • DLT’s using data display to make improvements within the department • LEAN/KAIZEN to accomplish SMART goals

As a Team… Review the DLT Assessment data and identify priority areas for improvement Review the 2008-09 goals for next year Create an action plan for your DLT based on the self assessment and goals for next year 2008-09 DLT Goals Aligning work to the Department Plan on a Page SMART goals for each work group for each goal on the Plan on a Page (1:1) Updated data displays tracking progress for all SMART goals DLT’s using data display to make improvements within the department LEAN/KAIZEN to accomplish SMART goals Using the DLT Self Assessment Data…
