Information System of Plans • The Information System of Plans (ISoP) is an interactive, centralized database to assist local, county, and regional decision-makers form policy in a multi-plan environment. The ISoP database provides decision-makers and stakeholders with access to a compendium of interrelated plans which allows assessment of continuity and cohesiveness between plans and their relationship to the vision for the community as well as how each plan or action might effect the larger context.

  3. Chicago Regional Watershed Planning Support System ISoP Step 1: Click on the ISoP tab at the top of the CRWPSS Homepage.

  4. Chicago Regional Watershed Planning Support System ISoP Step 2: Click on the intersection of “Lake Michigan Watershed” and “County.” This will open up a folder containing county-level plans.

  5. Chicago Regional Watershed Planning Support System ISoP Step 3: Click on the county link you wish to explore. For this example, click on the “McHenry” link.

  6. Chicago Regional Watershed Planning Support System ISoP Step 4: Select the category from which you’d like to view plans.The link contains 5 folders including: • Comprehensive Plans • Environmental/NaturalResources • Land Use • Transportation • Facilities/Infrastructure

  7. Chicago Regional Watershed Planning Support System ISoP Step 5: Using SimView Folders to view Maps. Folders titled “SimView” should contain maps that you can navigate utilizing a bar on the left side of the screen to overlay each simulation/projection/planned development over the base map.

Chicago Regional Watershed Planning Support System ISoP Step 6: Downloading and Viewing Files. • Simply clicking on the file will allow the user to view or download the selected file. • EXAMPLE: • Under the Comprehensive Plans folder, Select “Kishwaukee Rt 47.” • Click on “TCSP Route 47 Kishwaukee” to Open or Save the PDF file.

  9. Chicago Regional Watershed Planning Support System ISoP Step 7: Search the Site for topics of interest. • By typing a term in the search bar, a list of relevant plans and documents will appear. • EXAMPLE: • Type “Route 47”

  10. Adding Plans to the ISoP Step 1: Go to the ISoP home page Notice on the left hand side of the screen a box titled “Navigation.” The last folder listed is titled “Upload.” Click on the “Upload” folder.

  11. Adding Plans to the ISoP Step 2: On the right side of the screen along the green bar Notice a tab titled “Add New…” Click on the tab to view a drop down menu, offering options for uploading plans. Select “file,” “image,” or “folder.” Choose “folder” if you have many plans you wish to upload.

  12. Adding Plans to the ISoP Step 3: Give your file a title, write a description of your file, and finally, upload your file. When you have filled the form out to your liking, click “Save.”Your file will now be stored under the upload folder until the LEAM Administrator puts it in a proper file in ISoP.

  13. Adding Plans to the ISoP Step 4: After you have added plans to the ISoP, please send an email to: jteneb2@uic.edu so that your plans will be reviewed and relocated to their permanent place in the ISoP promptly!
