  2. Needs Assessment: • This instructional online tutorial is to teach early childhood educators how to incorporate sign language into their everyday activities so that communicate with child with autism will be able easier.

  3. Needs Assessment: • This instructional online tutorial will allow early childhood educators to obtain new skills to be able to up add sign language into their daily lesson plans so that they can better serve their children with autism in their classrooms.

  4. Needs Assessment: • This instructional online tutorial will allow early childhood educators to be able to use Microsoft Publisher 2007 to makesign language poster for their classroom.

  5. Instructional Goal: • After completing this lesson the learners will be able to introduction sign language in their everyday activities with ease.

  6. Performance Objectives: Objective #1 By use the training the learner will be able to incorporate sign language into their everyday activities with little to know problems • Objective #2 By use the training the learner’s will know different way to add sign language into their lesson plans.

  7. Performance Objectives • Objective #3 By use the training the learner’s will know how to use Microsoft Publisher to makesign language poster for their classroom.

Assessment of Learning Outcomes: • Online quiz • What are some different way can you add sign language in your daily activities? • Do you have to be hearing impaired to use sign language? • At what age can a child remember a sign? • As early childhood educators there is many way to help a child with autism one of these way is add sign language to their daily activities? • Dose sign language increase their speaking vocabulary? • Sign language opens doors for young children what are some of the doors it open? • 1.The learner’s will be able to incorporate sign language into their everyday activities with little to know problems

Assessment of Learning Outcomes: 2.By use the training the learner’s will know different way to add sign language into their lesson plans. • Online quiz • Name different ways you can add sign Language? • Name different way you can add sign language to the classroom? • Lesson plan are all ready made there is no way to add sign Language? • You can only add sign Language to a lesson plan when your boss is looking at it? • What development skill dose sign Language help develop ?

  10. Assessment of Learning Outcomes: Rubric Criteria How well did the learner use Microsoft Publisher Finding the template? Put a picture on? Save the project and send it? great,ok or Poor? (See assessment rubric on page 20) 3.By use the training the learner’s will know how to use Microsoft Publisher to make poster for their classroom.

Learner Characteristics: • The target audience for this web-based training is Early Childhood Educators in a preschool setting that works with children with autism . • The learners will have knowledge of basic computers skills and also working with children with autism in a preschool setting. • Additional information necessary for training would be that they need up to date Internet access and willing to help children with autism gain their voice.

  12. Learning Context: • The intended instructional setting will be mainly in the workplace setting, particularly in a Early Childhood Educators classroom. • Any place with Internet access. A home computer will be great if they can not do it a work. Because all you will need is Internet access. to do this training.

Here you will learn how to add sign language into your everyday activities so that you can communicate better with child with autism in your preschool classroom.

Training Module Outline: Lesson 1: Overview Communicating Communicating with young children with autism • The learners will get a overview of what autism is and sign they can look for. • The learners will get different ways you can help a child with autism. • At the end of the lesson the learners will take a practice quiz so they can go over the martial again.

Training Module Outline: Lesson 2 :Sign Language : Adding sign language to every day activity • The learner will get a over view of what sign language is and how it can help a children with autism. • The learners will learn how to add basic sign language to everyday activities • The learners will learn how to add it to their lesson plans. • During the lesson the learners will do a Flash card Activity to go over the martial • At the end of the lesson the learners will take a practice quiz so they can go over the martial again.

Training Module Outline: Lesson 3: Overview of Microsoft Publisher Making sign language poster for the classroom. • The learner will get a overview on how Microsoft Publisher works. • The learners will learn how to make a sign language poster for the classroom. • During the lesson the learners will do a labeling activity to go over the martial. • At the end of the lesson the learners will take a practice quiz so they can go over the martial again.

  19. Training Module Outline: • Summary:I will review one more time what we went over and give other web sties they can go to get more informant . I will give the learners my email so they can send me their assessment. • Assessment: The learners will be ask to submitted a sign language poster that they made throw Microsoft Publisher where I will assessment criteria the poster. and the quiz scores at the end of the lesson.

  23. Formative Evaluation: • My family member who has work for Head Start for more then twenty years in a classroom setting will be my subject matter expert. A friend that is well-known with sign language and working with young children in a classroom setting will do a peer evaluation on my lesson plan. • With the feed back that receive from the subject matter expert and the peer evaluation I will make necessary changes to my online lesson the best it can be.

  24. Summary • By use this lesson it is to teach early childhood educators how to incorporate sign language into their everyday activities and to help give an autism child a voice.
