  2. About Ray Charles Ray Charles is extremely famous. He may have been blind but he made great music. One of his best selling records were “Hit the road jack.” Charles made movies with other people acting as him instead of him being in the movie himself. He usually made over 20 million dollars.

  4. Early childhood • Ray Charles had a horrible childhood. He was born in September 23,1930. At age five he began to lose sight. By age seven he was blind, but even though he was blind, people paid more attention to him. He was paid more attention to because he made great music while blind. He went to Augustine school since he was blind. If he didn’t make such good music he would have been beat up already.

  5. Famous Family Hobbies These are their hobbies The game of chess • Lots of Charles family had the same hobbies. Those hobbies were playing chess, having family reunions, and traveling to concerts. But Ray Charles wanted to make music for a change.

  6. Hit Movie • Ray Charles made many movies that made over 20,0000 dollars. One movie he made was “Ray” That movie starred Jamie Foxx and his part was being Ray Charles. Many people wanted to see his life and how he was treated. He had great movies.

  7. His Songs Some of his best songs are All I Ever need, America the Beautiful, Baby Grand, and Hit the road Jack. There are many more songs too. Most of his songs made thousands of dollars in cash most of the time.

  8. His favorite foods His favorite food was hot dogs. His favorite dessert was chocolate cake. He loved family gatherings so much because of his family.

  9. Awards He got lots of awards. Some awards he got was a Grammy award, R and B award, and a Rock and roll award. He got so happy about getting those awards.

  10. Death Ray Charles died on June 10, 2004. He died from liver cancer. I was very sad when I heard he had died.
