  1. The Tulsa Model TLE Observation and Evaluation System / Process • EVALUATOR TRAINING – 2012 – Segment 6 • Modeling and Presentations

  2. Leaders and Leadership “A leader needs to know when to bend like bamboo and when to stand erect like a tree. The challenge that comes with leadership is to be deep-rooted in a sense of purpose and vision, but flexible like bamboo so that you can bend and then return to lead. Sometimes a leader must be the maestro leading the orchestra, sometimes the percussionist offering the radical beat, and sometimes the fourth chair violin blending in and letting others take the lead and the credit.” —Adapted from James K. Zaharis

  3. Modeling and Presentations In small planning groups of 4 to 6 members, focus on one of the following Segments: Tulsa Model Background The Rubric Observation+ and Evaluation Conferences and Push Pins Personal Development Plans (PDPs)

  4. Modeling and Presentations Each group is to plan a 30 minute Presentation that focuses on the assigned Tulsa Model Segment. The GIST of the Segment must be presented, e.g., salient process points. Do not simply re-hash, re-state the original presentation. PowerPoints can be created to enhance the presentation. A computer lab will be available to prepare the PowerPoints. Slides from the presented Segment may be used. Following each presentation a “critique” session will be held involving all Trainers.
