A Few Facts and Figures • First commercially planted in 1973 in Marlborough. • With 14,735 hectares, it represents 47% of all NZ plantings. • Marlborough dominates production with 84% of the Sauvignon Blanc plantings. • In year to June 2009 NZ exported 91.7 million litres (81% of all wine exports).
