Objective: Design a room for a client who loves to read. This client wants a room with the following design features. • A door from the entrance of their house. A door to the exterior of the house where you will design a courtyard. • In the courtyard: include a fountain or water feature, at least one bench and a wall on all sides. (One wall will be the house itself.) • The interior of the room should include the following: • Windows to the courtyard. • Storage area for books. • A small countertop with a sink and small refrigerator. The base cabinet should include 3 drawers (1 large drawer and 2 small drawers). • A great reading chair with a view onto the courtyard. • A small table with space for 4 people to sit and eat or drink. • A floor lamp and chandelier (or large light fixture hanging from the ceiling). • Hardwood floor with a rug. • You may add any artwork and or accessories to the room that expresses the personality of your client.
