Crucifix Crosses - The symbol of Christianity

When we imagine the basic symbol to denote Christianity in a very apt way the first thing that comes to our mind is the symbol of crucifix crosses. The crucifix is a cross bearing the image of Jesus representing the time of death of Jesus as a sacrifice for saving humanity. In other words, a crucifix is a representation of how the Lord gave his only son for our sins to save humanity.

  1. Crucifix Crosses - The symbol of Christianity

  3. Understanding the importance Nazareth store offers a divine collection of crosses as Catholic gift items which includejerusalem crosses, pectoral crosses, cross pendants, and even saint pendants for sale.

  4. WHAT IS A CRUCIFIX? The word crucifix is derived from Latin crucifixus means “fixed to a cross”. The graphical representation of the crucifix with the image of Jesus on it was depicted to teach Catholics that Jesus was a true man as well as a true God. This ideology came into being in the Western Catholic culture. The symbol also reminds us of the pain and suffering which Jesus had to bear during the time of his death. Lutheran churches have large crucifixes upon the altar which is important during the conduction of Mass. The death of Jesus is known as Good Friday as this day marked the beginning of the resurrection of Christ after three days which is celebrated as Easter.

  5. OTHER SYMBOLS USED BY CATHOLICS Apart from the crucifix, there are other symbols too which depict the Catholic’s belief. Sacred heart, Fleur de Lis, the dove, crossed keys and the lamb are few to name. The flaming heart is the way of depicting the sacred heart which shines in divine light even though pierced and encircled with a crown of thorns.

  6. Fleur de Lis is a decorative version of a lily with three petals and is generally used to represent divinity and used by the royal army of France. The descendant of the holy spirit is shown by the flying dove with shining light. There are quite a few symbols throughout history that are often used in the catholic beliefs to teach the importance of Christianity.

  7. COLLECTION OF CROSSES AT STORE  The store offers up a limited yet exquisite collection of crosses like Jerusalem crosses and pectoral crosses. The Jerusalem cross is a part of gifts from the holy land having its history and importance. The Jerusalem cross also known as the “five-fold cross” is a large Celtic cross surround by four small Greek crosses.

  8. The five crosses hold different meanings from different historic points of view. The five crosses can be the five wounds of Jesus or the five corners of the world Jesus wanted to spread his teachings. Whereas the pectoral crosses are often worn by the members of the Bishop rank. The clergy or laity can also be seen wearing this cross suspended by a long thin chain.

  9. Thus the article aims to focus on the importance of the crucifix which makes us realize the value of the symbol. Imagine if it is gifted to a person as a token of appreciation or as a gesture of kindness and caring how much of a difference it may make in their lives.

  10. The Nazareth store collection of crosses is embedded with Swarovski crystals to give it an authentic feel. The crucifix crosses are available in yellow and rose gold collections for the benefit of customers and their satisfaction. The noble act of gifting these items makes us closer to the divine teaching and helps us stay connected in spirituality which is our Lord’s wish.
