  1. Creating Cartoons 5th and 6th Grades

  2. Do Now: • If you had to create a cartoon character, what type of character would you create? What it be an animal? Would it be a human or a robot? Would it be a male or a female? In your cartoon packets write a quick response. It has to be three sentences. Be ready to share!

  3. The Basics: The Head • Face • Eyes • Nose • Mouth • Ears • Hair

  4. FACE: use simple shapes.

  5. Eyes: usually just an oval or circle…

  6. Nose: centers the face and gives a direction

  7. Mouth: gives expression

  8. Ears: ages the character

  9. Hair: provides identity
