  2. LA UNIDAD DE NEUMOLOGÍA DEL HUMV SE ENCUENTRA SITUADA EN EL ALA OESTE DE LA 1ª PLANTA DEL HOSPITAL CANTABRIA, DESDE QUE EN JULIO DE 2007 SE INICIARON LAS OBRAS DE REMODELACIÓN EN EL HUMV SE TRATA DE UNA PLANTA DE HOSPITALIZACÍON DOTADA DE 28 CAMAS, DISTRIBUIDAS EN 14 HABITACIONES DOBLES.

  3. RECURSOS HUMANOS DE LA UNIDAD • Médicos Neumólogos (3) • Equipo de Trasplante • Enfermeras (14) • Auxiliares de Enfermería (10) • Fisioterapeutas (2)

  4. SERVICIOS INTERDEPENDIENTES

  5. MOTIVOS FRECUENTES DE INGRESO • EPOC • Fibrosis Pulmonar • Neumonía o infección respiratoria • Derrame Pleural • TBC • Asma • TEP • HTP • Masas y/o nódulos a estudio. Neoplasias. • Tx Pulmonar: estudios pre-Tx, controles posteriores y complicaciones.

  6. FUNCIONES GENERALES DE ENFERMERIA • Valoración y Plan de Cuidados • Control de constantes y seguimiento de la evolución para detección de nuevas necesidades. • Pase de visita conjunta con los médicos. • Administración de tratamientos y realización de técnicas diagnósticas (analíticas, GSA, ECG…) • Preparación del paciente al alta en autocuidados. • Docencia con alumnos de Enfermería.

  7. Cuidados específicos de la Unidad • Cuidados al paciente traqueotomizado • Cuidados y control de los drenajes torácicos. • Cuidados al paciente con ventilación ya sea invasiva o no invasiva (BIPAP, CPAP) • Motivación de los pacientes para el autocuidado y la realización de FTR • En pacientes pre- TX: apoyo psicológico, información. Además del control de las pruebas necesarias para realizar el estudio pre-tx.

  8. Información y educación en tratamientos específicos • Terapia inhalatoria • Tto. Orales especiales: ACO, antituberculosos… • Ttos. Para la HTP: * Teprostinil (Remodulín) * Flolán (Epoprostenol)

  9. PROYECTOS ACTUALES Y FUTUROS • PLANTA PILOTO DEL PROGRAMA “PEA” • PLANTA PILOTO DEL PROGRAMA “ESTACIÓN CLÍNICA” • PROYECTO EXPERIMENTAL DE ABANDONO DEL HÁBITO TABAQUICO EN PACIENTES INGRESADOS • A NIVEL DEL HOSPITAL: CREACIÓN DE LA UNIDAD DE CUIDADOS INTERMEDIOS.

  10. ¿QUÉ PODEMOS MEJORAR? • MAYOR TRABAJO EN EQUIPO. EQUIPO INTERDISCIPLINAR. • MAYOR RELACIÓN/COMUNICACIÓN CON EL RESTO DE UNIDADES. • LA ENFERMERÍA DEBERÍA SER MAS ESCUCHADA. ES QUIEN MEJOR CONOCE AL PACIENTE. • MAYOR FORMACIÓN Y MAS ACCESIBLE. • PACIENTES DE TX MAS Y MEJOR INFORMADOS. MAYOR USO DE LA “HOSPEDERÍA” • NECESIDAD DE UN FISIOTERAPEUTA EN PLANTA. • NECESIDAD DE UN NEUMÓLOGO DE GUARDIA. COMO EN TODO, SIEMPRE SE PUEDE MEJORAR Y … EN ELLO ESTAMOS.
