Convection • The movement of heat in a liquid or gas Example: Drying shoes over a hot-air vent in a room.
Conduction • Direct contact with a hot item Example: Holding a cup of hot chocolate or coffee to warm your hands up.
Radiation • Heat by sun or fire Example: Standing in the sun or in front of a fire place to warm up.
