  4. Graduation Requirements • Earn 23 Credits • Successful completion of the Certificate of Academic Achievement • Successful completion of the Culminating Project

  5. Certificate of Academic Achievement Students must meet HSPE standards in (class of 2015 and beyond): • Reading • Writing • Math (EOC’s - pass Algebra and Geometry) • Science (Biology EOC)

  6. Successful Completion of the Culminating Project • The Culminating Project will include the following components: • Portfolio • Presentation • Research Paper • Community Service • Job Shadow • 13th year Plan – Action steps for the 1st year after high school graduation

Requirements CADR’s 4 credits of English 3 credits of Social Studies 2 credits* of Lab Sciences 3 credits* of Math (1-Math credit: Senior Year) 1 credit of Art 2 credits of World Language 15 Total Credits College Academic Distribution Requirements • 4 credits of English • 3 credits of Social Studies • 3 credits of Science • 3 credits of Math • 1.5 credits of PE • .5 credit of Health • 1 credit of Occ. Ed. • 1 credit of Fine, Visual, Performing Art • 6 credits of Electives • 23 Total Credits Needed

  11. 10th grade POD Option #2 IF in 9th Grade: Honors English 9, Honors Social Studies, Integrated Science 3-4 (Biology) THEN: Honors English 10, AP Human Geography, CHEMISTY 1-2

  12. Typical 9th Grade Schedule • 1st Semester • Freshman English -1 • Cont. World History -1 • Integrated Science -1 • Algebra - 1 • Occupational Education (Computer Essentials or Computer Apps highly recommended) or Elective • PE or Elective • 2nd Semester • Freshman English -2 • Cont. World History -2 • Integrated Science -2 • Algebra - 2 • Occupational Education or Elective • PE or Art POD POD

  13. STUDYING at KR: • GENERAL EDUCATION – Core or regular classes? 2 HOURS EVERY S, M, T, W, TH • HONORS CLASSES - Add an extra 1 hour (2 hours plus 1 hour = 3 hours) • AP CLASSES (Advanced Placement) – Add an extra hour PER AP Class (These are College Level classes)

  15. SUNDAY – THURSDAY KR STUDENTS HAVE: HOMEWORK OR PROJECTS OR TEST PREP EVERY NIGHT WITHOUT FAIL !!!
