  4. Wordpress • Free blogging software • PHP & MySQL • Anyone can add/edit info • Comments

  6. Pages • Static and are not listed by date • Does not use tags or categories • An ‘About’ page is the classic example

  7. Post • Categorized information • Always updated, always changing • Listed in chronological order • Displayed in the RSS feed

  8. Login • Username: first initial last name • Tony Quan  tquan • Password: your username backwards • nauqt

  9. Add a new post • Title • Category • Tags • Body

  10. Title • Short and sweet. To the point. • Title becomes the URL

  11. Category • Relevant to your post • Easy to find • Multiple categories okay

  12. Tag • Keywords • Descriptive term • Someone quickly scanning the tags would be able to determine what the post is about.

  13. Body • Good, relevant content • Usefulness, uniqueness • Entertainment, Education, Information, Debate, News, Community • Cannot refer to ‘SSA’
