  14. Core Design • Core model previously designed in Catia. • Created floor plan and profiles of Core home in AutoCad. • Halted progress on our Core model to focus on add-on rooms. • Copied existing Core home plans into AutoCad.

  32. Roof Structures • Moderately pitched hip roof • Minimize leak and wind load and ensure water shed away from wind • Roof Truss • Provide strength for the roof ⇒ Need to consider: Can it be installed onto the add-on rooms?

  35. Hurricane Strap • Ties with truss to support the shape of the roof to the framework of the home • Prevents uplift of the roof ⇒ Need to consider: Can it be applied to the concrete home?
