  4. What is Habitat for Humanity? • Non-profit organization that seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. To accomplish these goals, Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need. • Today, the organization has built over 350,000 houses around the world, providing more than 1.75 million people in 3,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter.

  5. How do we play a role in this? • Building a house • Fundraisers • Make a DIFFERENCE • Our Goal: $1,000+ • ($20 to $30K short of our goal)

  6. Club Dues • $5.00 • Goes into our goal

  7. What am I committed to? • Attend meetings: 1st and 3rd Thursday of Every Month • Participate in fundraisers • Go to at least one build (the more the better) • Be involved!! • *Bonus: This does count as NHS hours.

  8. Fundraisers/Activities • Big Projects: • Carnival • NEED IDEAS • Food Bank • Hospitals • Etc.

  9. T-Shirts • You will receive when you go to a build. • Designs anyone?

  10. Historian? Makes memories, keeps records, provides information Must be task-oriented and organized 1 Freshmen; 1 Sophomore
