Tension in Quebec towards Canada...
  • Why was the capital of Canada English speaking?
  • Why were key cabinet positions never held by French speaking politicians?
  • Why did workers in Ontario earn more for the same job than a worker in Quebec?
  • Why don’t French-Canadians have the rights to their own schools outside of Canada, a right that English-Canadians have in Quebec?

Canada

Tension in Canada towards Quebec:
  • Why are people in Quebec always complaining?

  • Let provinces opt out of Federal programs and get the money instead (eg- Quebec has no CPP)
  • Tried to attract French Canadians to Ottawa to be a force in the government (Trudeau)
  • Changed the flag in 1965
