Salmonoids West Project: Sustainability Strategies for Remote Areas

Exchange of knowledge and cooperation between R&D institutions and private sector to develop best practices for long-term salmonoid sustainability in remote areas. Join us at the Northern Periphery and Arctic Programme Project Development Clinic in Reykjavik, Iceland from 12th to 14th November 2013 with Dr. Cathal Gallagher. Priority partners include Inland Fisheries Ireland and others. Project focuses on protecting natural heritage, capacity building, innovation, and transfer of R&D. Toolbox for sustainable development includes stakeholder engagement, best practices, desktop tools, model development, and migration routes. Key activities include restoration of sea trout catchments and sharing expertise, research, and knowledge.
